The current champion France started their World Cup with 4 goals against Australia in their first match in Qatar World Cup. The French won 4-1 at the Al Janoub Stadium on Tuesday night. France showed that they are the favorite in this tournament by celebrating goals against the Socceroos.
Australia took the lead through Goodwin’s goal in the ninth minute. Adrien Rabiot equalized in the 27th minute. Olivier Giroud scored in the 32nd minute to give France a 2-1 lead. After receiving the ball from Mbappe, Rabiot cut back in the D box. The ball comes to Giroud in the center of the D box. Giroud did not make a mistake to tap into the empty post.
The French maintained their dominance in the second half. Mbappe gave the team a 3-1 lead by scoring in the 68th minute. Giroud scored his second goal three minutes later to seal France’s 4-1 victory.
France won the match by beating Australia 4-1.
