Didier Desham Will Be The Coach of France in the 2026 World Cup
After the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the name Zinedine Zidane was being pronounced quite strongly as the next coach of the French national team. But for now, France’s World Cup-winning captain is not seen in this role. Because Didier Deschamps will be the coach of the French in the next World Cup as well. The French Football Federation has extended the contract with the 54-year-old coach until the 2026 World Cup. French football’s highest governing body confirmed the matter in a statement on Saturday.
Deschamps’ contract with France expires in Qatar World Cup. After that, there were many rumors about the contract extension. Dismissing all rumors, he remains in charge of Mbappe-Girud. After extending the contract, Desham said, “Thank you to the president for believing in me.” There are matches against the Netherlands and Ireland in March. Deschamps took charge of France in 2012. France won the World Cup under Deschamps in 2018. After that, the French played the final in the World Cup in Qatar.
